"The thing with Dickie... it's like the sun shines on you, and it's
glorious. And then he forgets you and it's very, very cold... When you
have his attention, you feel like you're the only person in the world,
that's why everybody loves him so much."

Ivan: You look ravishing and I'd like to chew on your thighs.
Samantha: I thought we had a professional relationship.
Ivan: So I'll pay.

Ivan: You, you've got no ambition! You're content just existing! You need

Josh: Herpes?

"Come with me if you want to live."
					-Kyle Reese, _The Terminator_

Sarah: Reese. Why me? Why's it want me?
Reese: There was a nuclear war. A few years from now, all this, this whole
place, everything, it's gone. Just gone. There were survivors.
Here, there. Nobody even knew who started it. It was the machine,
	Sarah.
Sarah: I don't understand.
Reese: Defense network computers. New... powerful... hooked into
everything, trusted to run it all. They say it got smart, a new
order of intelligence. Then it saw all people as a threat, not
just the ones on the other side. Decided our fate in a
	microsecond: extermination.
Sarah: Did you see this war?
Kyle: No. I grew up after. In the ruins... starving... hiding from H-Ks.
Sarah Connor: H-Ks?
Reese: Hunter-Killers: patrol machines built in automated factories. Most
of us were rounded up, put in camps for orderly disposal.
[Pulls up his right sleeve, exposing a mark.]
Reese: This is burned in by laser scan. Some of us were kept alive... to
work... loading bodies. The disposal units ran night and day. We
were that close to going out forever. But there was one man who
taught us to fight, to storm the wire of the camps, to smash those
metal motherfuckers into junk. He turned it around. He brought us
back from the brink. His name is Connor. John Connor. Your son,
	Sarah, your unborn son.
					_The Terminator_

"3 billion human lives ended on August 29th, 1997. The survivors of the
nuclear fire called the war Judgment Day. They lived only to face a new
nightmare: the war against the machines. The computer which controlled
the machines, Skynet, sent two Terminators back through time. Their
mission: to destroy the leader of the human resistance, John Connor, my
son. The first Terminator was sent to strike at me in the year 1984. It
failed. The second was set to strike at John himself when he was still a
child. As before, the resistance was able to send a lone warrior, a
protector for John. It was just a question of which one of them would
 reach him first."
					-Sarah Connor, _Terminator 2_

The Terminator: The Skynet Funding Bill is passed. The system goes on-line
August 4th, 1997. Human decisions are removed from strategic
defense. Skynet begins to learn at a geometric rate. It becomes
	self-aware at 2:14 a.m. Eastern time, August 29th. In a panic,
they try to pull the plug.
Sarah Connor: And Skynet fights back.
					_Terminator 2_

Sarah Connor: [narrating] Dyson listened while the Terminator laid it all
down: Skynet, Judgment Day, the history of things to come. It's
not everyday you hear that you're responsible for 3 billion
deaths. He took it pretty well.
Miles Dyson: I feel like I'm gonna throw up.
					_Terminator 2_

John Connor: We've got company.
Miles Dyson: Police?
Sarah Connor: How many?
John Connor: Uh, all of them, I think.
					_Terminator 2_

Sarah Connor: How are you supposed to know? Fucking men like you built the
hydrogen bomb. Men like you thought it up. You think you're so
creative. You don't know what it's like to really create
something; to create a life; to feel it growing inside you. All
you know how to create is death...
John Connor: Mom.
Sarah Connor: ...and destruction...
John Connor: Mom! We need to be a little more constructive here, okay?
					_Terminator 2_

"The future has not been written. There is no fate but what we make for
ourselves. I wish I could believe that. My name is John Connor, they
tried to murder me before I was born, when I was 13 they tried again.
Machines from the future. Terminators. All my life my mother told me the
storm was coming, Judgment Day, the beginning of the war between man and
machines. Three billion lives vanished in an instant, and I would lead
what was left of the human race to ultimate victory. It hasn't happened,
no bombs fell, computers didn't take control, we stopped Judgment Day. I
should feel safe, but I don't, so I live off the grid - no phone, no
address, no one and nothing can find me. I've erased all connections to
the past, but as hard as I try I can't erase my dreams, my nightmares."
					_Terminator 3_

Dr. Peter Silberman: You're safe now, they can't hurt you. Kate, my name
is Doctor Silberman. I'm a post trauma counselor for the Sheriff's
	Department, how are you feeling?
Kate Brewster: He's not human... he's really, not human.
Dr. Peter Silberman: I know what it's like to be in a hostage situation,
I've been there myself. The fear, the adrenaline you find
yourself, imagining things, impossible things, crazy things,
insane things... take years to get over it.
					_Terminator 3_

"The attack began at 6:18 PM, just as he said it would. Judgment Day, the
day the human race was almost destroyed by the weapons they'd built to
protect themselves. I should have realized it was never our destiny to
stop Judgment Day - merely to survive it, together."
					-John Connor, _Terminator 3_

"We don't sell Tic-Tacs, we sell cigarettes. And they're cool, available,
and addictive. The job is almost done for us."
					-BR, _Thank You for Smoking_

Marty DiBergi: Why don't you just make ten louder and make ten be the top
number and make that a little louder?
Nigel Tufnel: [Pause] These go to eleven.

[Nigel is playing a soft piece on the piano]
Marty DiBergi: It's very pretty.
Nigel Tufnel: You know, just simple lines intertwining, you know, very
much like - I'm really influenced by Mozart and Bach, and it's
sort of in between those, really. It's like a Mach piece, really.
        It's sort of -
Marty: What do you call this?
Nigel: Well, this piece is called "Lick My Love Pump."

McCann: Are you okay?
Banning: Yeah.
McCann: I was okay once. I found out my wife was cheating on me. I beat a
suspect unconscious, fucked five women in three days, and drove my
car the wrong way on an off-ramp. But I was okay.

Archie: You're scared, right?
Vig: Maybe.
Archie: The way it works is, you do the thing you're scared shitless of,
and you get the courage AFTER you do it, not before you do it.
Vig: That's a dumbass way to work. It should be the other way around.
Archie: I know. That's the way it works.

Renton: Well, he's always been lacking in moral fiber.
Swanney: He knows a lot about Sean Connery.

I faced and the sorts of people I could be, all of them got reduced every

 am."
