Peter: I'm - I'm not a team guy. People hate me. I don't belong on a team.
Steve: Can I ask you something? How is that working out for you? The "not
	being a team guy" thing?
					_New Avengers: Breakout_

Luke Cage: Spider-Man, Spider-Woman - you guys related?
Spider-Man: No.
Cage: You give her her powers or something?
Spider-Man: No. She's totally unrelated to me in any way.
Cage: So she ripped off your name?
Spider-Man: Exactly.
					_New Avengers: Breakout_

"I've been an Avenger ten minutes. I already need to lie down."
					-Spider-man,
					_New Avengers: Breakout_

"That's so embarrassing. It's one of my bad guys. I knew somehow this
 would be my fault."
					-Spider-Man,
					_New Avengers: Breakout_

"He can suck energy or - or suck out your powers or something. Something
with sucking. And when he overdoes it, he turns into this giant green ol'
Jurassic Park thing. Like a dinosaur. A vampire dinosaur. Vampire _or_
dinosaur would have been enough. But this guy is both, which,
 really... is just showing off."
					-Spider-Man,
					_New Avengers: Breakout_

Captain America: I have the authority to assemble any team I see fit to go
on any mission I see fit.
Spider-Man: Yeah? I have clones.
					_New Avengers: Breakout_

"Uh... anybody else's spider-sense jut go off?"
					-Spider-Man,
					_New Avengers: Breakout_

Iron Man: There's something going on about four kliks that way. Strange
	readings.
Spider-Man: Please, let's head _right_ for the strange readings.
					_New Avengers: Breakout_

"That spider that bit ya must have been one whiney spider."
					-Luke Cage,
					_New Avengers: Breakout_

[The team is captured, and tied up, naked.]
Spider-Woman: They couldn't leave our underwear on?
Spider-Man: I wasn't wearing any.
Spider-Woman: Why wouldn't you be wearing underwear?
Spider-Man: I chafe.
[Pause.]
Spider-Woman: I want off the team.
					_New Avengers: Breakout_

"Do you even know what Weapon X is? Do you know? Logan, you know. Tell the
flag waver what his government does with mutants behind his back. How
they send us on missions to murder other mutants who might end up being
trouble. And the minute you say no to them - they lock you away."
					-Sauron, _New Avengers: Breakout_

Iron Man: As far as I can tell, at least 14 of those prisoners supposedly
died years ago. They are legally dead. Yet there they were,
locked away in a SHIELD prison facility.
Spider-Man: What does that mean?
Iron Man: It means that on top of secretly stockpiling other countries'
super-powered weapon reserves before we caught them in the act...
Spider-Woman: Someone in SHIELD is stockpiling powered criminals.
					_New Avengers: Breakout_

"I decide it is the last thing I want to see. I close my eyes... and I
 take flight."
					-Lt. John Cloud,
					_DC: The New Frontier_

"Now you know me. I've seen my share of hard candy. I was a jarhead in
the Pacific. There was even a time I collected for the juice man to make
ends meet. But this - this bat-guy, he made my blood run cold. The look
on his face - the sounds that came out of the creep underneath him. This
bat-guy - well, he scared the bejeezus out of me."
					-Slam Bradley,
					_DC: The New Frontier_

"I once swam two miles with three bullets in my lung. I KO'ed the
Ultra-Humanite in one punch. I'm Ted friggin' Wildcat Grant. This is my
fight. These are my people. And tonight, for one last time, I am their
 champion."
					_DC: The New Frontier_

"It's crazy, baby. Like nothing's big enough to see anymore."
-Red Ryan, _DC: The New Frontier_

"I've been watching you, Mister Jones. I know all about you. Except where
you came from. My instincts tell me you're to be trusted, but make no
mistake - It took a seventy-thousand dollar sliver of meteor to stop the
one in Metropolis. With you, all I need is a penny for a book of
 matches."
					-Batman, _DC: The New Frontier_

"Save your breath, Jordan. NASA isn't looking for ex fighter pilots who
crack up because they shoot a Commie. They want heroes."
					-Faraday, _DC: The New Frontier_

J'onn Jones: Perhaps I could take a friendlier appearance, and be more
	like the hero Superman.
Faraday: Suit yourself, John. But real men wear pants, y'know?
					_DC: The New Frontier_

"Professor Palmer, how would you like to help save the world?"
					-Adam Strange,
					_DC: The New Frontier_

"Tabitha Smith possesses the mutant powers of blowing things up and
 stealing all your stuff."
					_Nextwave: Agents of H.A.T.E._

"Is that what they taught you in the Avengers? That and beware of spooky
chicks who think they've been made pregnant by robots?"
					_Nextwave: Agents of H.A.T.E._

"My robot brain needs beer. Also? I want to die."
					-Aaron,
					_Nextwave: Agents of H.A.T.E._

Monica: Tabby! Aaron! What the hell are you doing?
Tabitha: Beating up a cop.
					_Nextwave: Agents of H.A.T.E._

"Samurai robots beat guns. No question. So it's just me and a
 shovel. Rock."
					-Elsa,
					_Nextwave: Agents of H.A.T.E._

Cop: Are you people the super heroes we read about and watch on the TV
news but never see hide nor hair of in towns like Shotcreek?
Monica: Something like that.
					_Nextwave: I Kick Your Face_

Tabitha: That flag sucks.
Elsa: Shut up.
Tabitha: It makes Europe look like a really sucky country.
Elsa: Europe isn't a country.
Tabitha: If it's not a country, how come it has a flag? Huh?
					_Nextwave: I Kick Your Face_

"I don't believe in your God. God is for fleshy ones. I am robot. And your
God will throw up when he sees what I have done to you."
					_Nextwave: I Kick Your Face_

"Let's save America by beating up everything we see."
					_Nextwave: I Kick Your Face_

"You people will by God act like a team, or at least like people who know
each other, or I'll incinerate the bunch of you here and now."
					_Nextwave: I Kick Your Face_

"I took _The Authority_ and I stripped out all the plots, logic, character
and sanity. It’s an absolute distillation of the superhero genre. No plot
lines, characters, emotions, nothing whatsoever. It's people posing in
the street for no good reason. It is people getting kicked, and then
exploding. It is a pure comic book, and I will fight anyone who says
otherwise. And afterwards, they will explode."
					-Warren Ellis, on _Nextwave_

"Some people use 'Google' to keep track of their exes. Other people use
 crystal balls... I use both."
					-Amanda Sefton,
					_Nightcrawler: The Devil Inside_

"I'm covered in blue fur and can't get a date. You're covered in blue fur
and are forever extracting yourself from one or more romantic
entanglements. I'm beginning to get a complex."
					-Hank,
					_Nightcrawler: The Devil Inside_

"Kurt, darling, I'm trying to save your life and you're annoying me..."
					-Emma,
					_Nightcrawler: the Winding Way_

"Oh, honestly. I'm an immortal entity, Nightcrawler, not a... perverse
 member of your rogues' gallery."
					-Nightmare,
					_Nightcrawler: the Winding Way_

Amanda: For the same reason Nightmare attacked me.
Nightmare: Ahem.
Amanda: The same reason Nightmare was *manipulated* into attacking me.
					_Nightcrawler: the Winding Way_

"You watch enough episodes of _E.R._, you can adapt your magic to do just
 about anything."
					-Amanda,
					_Nightcrawler: the Winding Way_

Kurt: Nightmare? Is Logan- ?
Nightmare: He's surly, but he'll survive.
					_Nightcrawler: the Winding Way_

"Sometimes I think Henry's too good for the rest of us. We're all
disasters - emotionally arrested, petty, insecure - and he's... he just
 isn't."
					_Nightcrawler: the Winding Way_

[Translating an ancient urn.]
"Herein contains... the misfortunes of man."
					_Olympus_

Sebastian: Where is Deems?
York: Dead.
Sebastian: That's one less thing on my to-do list.
					_Olympus_

"You'll never get it, will you? This isn't about 'good' or 'evil'... It's
about doing what we were supposed to as gods."
					-Hades, _Olympus Heights_

"Adam Strange defends the world of Rann. It's attacked on a daily
basis. He never calls for help."
					_The OMAC Project_

"When I was a kid, being a hero seemed like the easiest thing in the world
to be. I'm not a kid anymore. And right now, I can't think of anything
 harder to be."
					-Blue Beetle, _The OMAC Project_

"This is what happens when the gods fight, Brother, you understand?
Mortals suffer... These are the people who control humanity's destiny,
Brother... and this is why they must be eliminated Look at him. All the
punishment he's dishing out on her. Imagine if he turned that power
against us. What I've done to him took, it took effort. But the mere fact
that I could do it proves my point. Because if I can do it, someone else
can, too, and that's the heart of it, Brother. Superman, Wonder Woman,
the rest of them, they'll kill us all... if we don't kill them first."
					_The OMAC Project_

"Colonel Bukovic, U.S. Space Command. I'm the one who had you brought
here. This is because I am a horrible old man and I like to spread the
misery around. ...You are here to explain this to me."
					_Orbiter_

Marx: You've... you've been inside? Can I go inside?
Bukovic: I'm glad you said that. I was worried that I'd have to force you
inside at gunpoint. Yes. You can go inside.
					_Orbiter_

"I'm told there was a lot of paranoia about early spaceflight. I mean,
astronauts used to be quarantined after space flight. There was always a
possibility that astronauts might come back... different. Interrogation
and incarceration of a changed astronaut was always going to be an
 option."
					-Bukovic, _Orbiter_

"The unified field is, like, everything. It's physics. It's four elements,
and gravity is one of them. Alter gravity, you alter the field. Alter the
field, you alter physics. Alter physics, and you can land a space shuttle
 on Mars."
					-Marx, _Orbiter_

"It's from the end of the periodic table we haven't discovered yet."
					_Orbiter_

"If my dignity had a spider-sense, it would be going crazy right now."
					_Peter Parker: Spider-man_ #43

"Oh please, wherever she is, don't let Mary Jane have cable."
					_Peter Parker: Spider-man_ #43

"Why do I even have to say this? Why do I have to say 'Get off the unique
and probably alien plinth that zaps the unwary?' What is wrong with my
life that I have to say these things out loud to someone..."
					-Jakita Wagner, _Planetary_

"These are the moments that I live for. I put up with all the other crap
just to get seconds like this. The moments when you know the world is a
 better place than advertised."
					-Jakita Wagner, _Planetary_

"We, the extraordinary, were conspiring to make the world better."
					_Planetary_

"This is where dead men walked. I heard about this place from a man who
went to Mars. And since I was fifteen years old I knew I could never
resist stuff like this. Seeing things I ain't supposed to."
					-Elijah Snow, _Planetary_

"Lusiphur was capable of sustaining unremitted anger for weeks, unspoiled
by a tinge of doubt. It was part of his charm."
					_Poison Elves_

[sung] Wellll...
I use to know a pretty little gal...
I loved her all I can...
Then one day she broke my heart,
       so's I said - *BLAM*BLAM*BLAM*
                                        -Poison Elves, #14

"The doctor says that I am displaying schizophrenic tendencies. That these
pills will control my rage. What he doesn't understand is that anger has
 become my sustenance... my fuel."
					-Norman Osborn, _Powerless_

"I'll tell you what scares the hell out of me. It's Banner. Calm.
Collected. Worthless. Every day he lives in fear. Scared that if he lets
himself feel anything... anything at all... I'll come out."
					-Dr. Bruce Banner, _Powerless_

"I didn't used to daydream. But now I look around and see that my world is
haunted by remnants of a coma, colorful pieces of a fever-dream I awoke
from just weeks ago... Maybe I'm just trying to answer a question that's
just now becoming clear. Without me in their lives, who would these
people be? Who would I be?"
					_Powerless_

"You know, in the movies, there's always that moment right before the end,
when the hero is doubting himself? And then, someone close to him gives
him the confidence to make his movie? Like when Adrian says, 'Just win,
Rocky.' I wish I had that person. Someone who could make everything
 better again."
					-Peter Parker, _Powerless_

"Like most things in life, it's all about the details. If you're paying
 close enough attention, that is."
					_Powerless_

"My uncle told me that with great power must come great responsibility. I
may not have much power, but I'm taking responsibility."
					-Peter Parker, _Powerless_

"I told Matt this wasn't gonna end well. I also told myself I'm not a
murderer. Guess fate had its own plans for us."
					-Frank Castle, _Powerless_

"Often, when we dream, our imagination takes us into the world of the
fantastic, the uncanny, or the spectacular. We dream of flying, of
having the strength of a thousand men, or even of saving the world. In
these amazing fantasies, good conquers evil... and no one ever really
dies. But that is not life. To be human... truly human is to accept that
sometimes we are heroes, sometimes we are victors... and sometimes we are
 powerless."
					_Powerless_

"You watch cartoons? Do you see that thing? That sometimes the backgrounds
and the people don't look right? Sometimes the backgrounds are all cool
looking and nicely colored in or something. But the people aren't. They -
they're just flat looking. Sucky. Never noticed? It drives me up the wall
is all. Why do they do that?? Why can't they paint the people as nice as
 they paint the sky?"
                                        -Calista,
                                        _Powers: Who Killed Retro Girl?_

"How could you not want me around? I'm totally fascinating."
                                        -Deena,
                                        _Powers: Who Killed Retro Girl?_

Zora: I guess what's most shocking about all of it is how little it
happens, right? I mean, the odds and all. You'd thin we'd be
        dropping like flies.
Walker: From our end, it sometimes feels like you are...
                                        _Powers: Who Killed Retro Girl?_

"It was an unwritten rule to support each other in public and not get into
 each others' business."
                                        -Walker,
                                        _Powers: Who Killed Retro Girl?_

"Because when guys like that do something like that - they never shut up
 about it."
                                        -Walker,
                                        _Powers: Who Killed Retro Girl?_

"It's done. That's good. Just like in my dream."
                                        -Calista,
                                        _Powers: Who Killed Retro Girl?_

"I asked her - I asked: Hey, why me? And she said: that's how it worked.
That is how it has worked always and always."
                                        -Calista,
                                        _Powers: Who Killed Retro Girl?_

"She said that you were a great guy and would worry about me - but if I
told you not to nicely... you wouldn't."
                                        -Calista,
                                        _Powers: Who Killed Retro Girl?_

Walker: You like saying 'shtupping.'
Deena: I do.
                                        _Powers: Little Deaths_

"Waiting. Me, patiently. ...And this is where I say 'Why don't you start
 at the beginning?'"
                                        -Deena, _Powers: Little Deaths_

Walker: No. It's grunt work. I need your big brain.
Deena: First man that ever said that to me...
					_Powers: Roleplay_

Deena: I have a confession
Walker: You're the killer? Because that's a real load off my day if...
					_Powers: Roleplay_

"...So there's two kinds of guys with powers - the guys that had powers
given to them by, you know, birthright, accident - and then there's the
guys who go looking to get powers. And I tell ya, these are the guys that
 scare ya."
					_Powers: Roleplay_

"Anyway, she was heavy into anti-powers protesting, and she was so fucking
stupid because she would rant all day about how powers were going to
remove - what was is? That powers would remove certain elements of our
social order that were necessary for the survival of our species."
					_Powers: Anarchy_

"We have created a society where we freely allow men and women to take the
law into their own hands. Cape or no cape - brightly colored logo or not
 - a superhero is a vigilante who is taking the law into his own hands. We
root for who we decide is the good guy, and we boo for the person we
decide is the bad guy... and we never consider that just the idea that we
allow these people to take the law into their own hands... that we let
one person make a moral decision for another person... is wrong. We
empower other people to fight our battles for us... and wonder why it is
we feel so powerless in our lives."
					-Diana Shutz, _Powers: Anarchy_

"I don't like living in a world with people flying over my head. I don't
like feeling babysat by people whose names I am not allowed to know, or
whose faces I am not allowed to see."
					-Diana Shutz, _Powers: Anarchy_

"But then I think: I gotta care about you. I - I gotta. What's the only
other answer? Nothing. I care about you."
					-Deena, _Powers: Anarchy_

Deena: You know when we were kids, and we'd wonder what Unity was like in
	real life?
Kutter: Yeah.
Deena: Well, guess what? They're assholes.
					_Powers: Sellouts_

"He used to laugh at the fact that everything he did in his Hawk outfit
would never help as many people as the money he raised with Unity action
 figures and steering wheel covers."
					_Powers: Sellouts_

"I guess it's true - you never know who will be by your side when the shit
 hits it, huh?"
					_Powers: Sellouts_

"I mean, who the hell knows what a superhero can do when no one is
 looking."
					_Powers: Sellouts_

"It's a strange world, Dutch. A world where brother takes up arms against
brother -- where death can come at any time, in any form -- and where the
righteous must join with those whose hands are red with the blood of
their fallen comrades in order to survive."
                                        _Predator: Hell Come A-Walkin'_

Dr. Strange: Jessica, I'm Stephen Strange. It's good to meet you. We're
going to get through this. I was at the birth of the last
	Avengers' baby.
Spider-Woman: Oh yeah. The Scarlet Witch and the Vision.
Spider-man: And this has to go better than that did.
[pause]
Spider-man: Oh, my God, that was so much more clever in my head before it
	came out of my mouth.
Spider-Woman: I don't think it was.
Dr. Strange: How about the rest of you wait in the library?
					_The Pulse_

"He's a cold-blooded son-of-a-bitch, who kills criminals because he hates
 the fact that they're alive."
                                        -Garth Ennis, on the Punisher

"Despite the fact that he's become one of my favorite guilty-pleasure
characters over the past few years, I've pretty much given up on
reviewing issues of Garth Ennis's Punisher series. For all that I enjoy
reading them, after all, they are some of the most formulaic comics ever
produced, with the only thing that changes from one arc to the next being
the nature of the horrific crimes that the bad guys commit so that we can
get behind a sociopathic serial murderer like Frank Castle killing them
in the most imaginative ways possible."
					-Chris Sims, the-isb.blogspot.com

Joe Quesada: By the way, I thinking of legally changing my name to
	Quesadarama.
Kevin Smith: Joe Quesadarama.
Quesada: No, just Quesadarama. It has a ring to it.
Smith: I think most folks would charge you with sincere modesty for such
	an act.
					-Newsarama interview

Kevin Smith: And the whole "That many sales can't be wrong" thing doesn't
	work for me.
Joe Quesada: Yeah, well that's also your insecurity speaking
Smith: Maybe. It still comes down to what the readers THINK. And
sometimes, what they think really ain't pretty.
					-Newsarama interview

"I am the heat of my nation's anger. I am the burning will of the state.
An inferno, clearing the path of those who resist."
                                        _The Red Star_

"But this is a real story, Alex. It's a bloody, brutal, real story... the
 fantasy is just a disguise."
					_The Red Star: Nokgorka_

"Pray for the living, Maya. Pray for the living."
					-Alex, _The Red Star: Nokgorka_

"It's the kind of experience that... that... it just changes you, that's
all. It changes you forever. There aren't enough moments like that in
 life."
					-Alex, _The Red Star: Nokgorka_

"The past is a prison. Its bars and chains forged by Lord Time himself. No
 one has ever escaped."
					-Maya, _The Red Star: Nokgorka_

"What do you squares say to being the deadliest, outest, gonest cats in
the land, and puttin' the screws to all the pinks that gave us the
 needle!?"
                                        _The Replacement God_

"I have never built a trap to harm others. Yet every act of violence, of
battleground healing, of WAR, comes with practiced ease, as if I had done
it a thousand times... I do not know any of this. It is entirely obvious
 to me."
                                        _The Replacement God_

"Finn, the emotionless god of the dead, and Kaulfr, the hot-blooded
Visigoth lieutenant, takes one final look towards the gates of Valhalla,
 and flies on."

"I don't do things by half measures Mitchell. And I love my work."

                                         Resurrection Man #1,000,000

Harold: It's amazing to think of all of you growing up together like that,
	no secrets.
Cathy: Well, I wouldn't say there weren't any secrets... But some secrets
you keep out of respect, fear, affection or all three.

"We cannot change the world... if we do not begin with ourselves."

"We must do more than we have done. Because it's right. Because we have an
obligation to do so. And because... I believe that's what the power was
 meant for."

"Maybe we'll do it right. maybe we'll screw it up. But John's right, we
 have to try."
                                        _Rising Stars_

"This is important John. Every damned one of us comes to a day when we
say, 'What could we have done? What opportuities did we miss? How could I
have made a difference?' We all have powers of our own, we all have
abilities of our own, ad we have an obligation to use them. Your
obligation... you and the rest... was a little greater than the rest. But
it's still the same inside. You still have time, John. You know what you
have to do. Free yourself from the burden of my fear... from the concerns
of an old man. Look at the world anew, John... Make me proud."
                                        _Rising Stars_

"Poet's Journal: During the Second World War, the Germans tried to take
Stalingrad. But the Russian soldiers refused to back down, surrender or
retreat. They dug in, and made the Germans fight for every inch of
ground. I begin to understand how they felt. Welcome to Chicago."
					_Rising Stars_

"A terrible price was paid here today. By us. By all of them. All our
gifts, all our powers... is this all it comes down to? Have we squandered
it all? Or is there still something left for us to do? Perhaps the
something we were always meant to do with these powers. At the last, did
you finally show us the way, Matt?"
					_Rising Stars_

"Like me, he has only questions burning in his one good eye. What
happened? How did we come to this?"
					_Ruins_

"Completely. 'The Chimes of Big Ben' was insane. I can't believe how old
that show is, you know? Feels ilke it's from the future."

Molly: Gert, can I ask you a question about girl stuff?
Gert: Under no circumstances.
					_Runaways: Pride & Joy_

Robert Minoru: Catacombs? You said this place was secure, Wilder!
Geoffrey Wilder: As if you don't have secret passageways in your lair,
	Minoru.
					_Runaways: Pride & Joy_

"You're not going to like what I'm about to say, but I hated when older
kids tried to sugarcoat stuff with me, so I'm just going to tell it to
you straight, okay? Your parents - all of our parents - they're actually
super-villians, like the bad guys you see on TV."
					-Gert, _Runaways: Pride & Joy_

Gert: Sorry, I... I just got this weird feeling somebody was watching us.
Nico: Uh-oh, whenever anyone says that, it always means someone is.
					_Runaways: Pride & Joy_

"He's stuck in Manhattan, brokering some deal with another intergalactic
arms trader. A Skrull, I think... they all look the same to me."
					-Leslie Dean,
					_Runaways: Pride & Joy_

"Dale, put the samurai battle-axe away, will you? You know how weapons
from alternate pasts makes me nervous."
					_Runaways: Pride & Joy_

[picking super hero names.]
Gert: Chase's name should be Talkback.
Molly: Hee.
Chase: Laugh it up... Bruiser.
Molly: Bruiser? But I wanted to be Princess Powerful...
					_Runaways: Pride & Joy_

Gert: What are you talking about? Dressing up in costumes and... and
playing super hero? No offense, Alex, but isn't that sort of
	childish?
Alex: What's the alternative, 'Arsenic'? Being an adult? If that means
turning into the people who raised us... I hope I die before I
	get old.
					_Runaways: Pride & Joy_

Wilder: To them, we're probably no different than the ridiculous
'super-villains' they see on the evening news.
Frank: But we are different! We're... we're heroes! We've dedicated our
lives to making this world a better place for those kids!
					_Runaways: Teenage Wasteland_

Arsenic: Gertrude is my slave name, Alex. You can keep calling yourself
whatever your evil parents named you, but the rest of us are
	starting over. Right, Bruiser?
Bruiser: Right, Arsenic.
Alex: Aren't code names supposed to be cooler than your actual names?
					_Runaways: Teenage Wasteland_

"I don't know, Alex. These 'disguises' make us look like those politically
correct, multi-ethnic gangs that only rob people in bad TV shows."
					-Nico,
					_Runaways: Teenage Wasteland_

Lucy: Topher is one of us, Arsenic. His parents are eeeevil.
Arsenic: If that's our only criteria for admission, this cave is gonna
	fill up fast.
					_Runaways: Teenage Wasteland_

Topher: Speaking of which, it's almost three in the morning. When do the
	rest of you... rest?
Arsenic: I saw my parents kill a girl, and then I found a dinosaur in my
basement. I haven't slept in four days.
					_Runaways: Teenage Wasteland_

Topher: You see, I'm not really sixteen years old. I was born at the turn
	of the century.
Nico: You're four?
Topher: Huh? Oh, no, last century. In 1900.
Nico: Eww! And I kissed you?
					_Runaways: Teenage Wasteland_

"Since when do vampires rob convenience stores?"
					-Nico,
					_Runaways: Teenage Wasteland_

Lieutenant Flores: So wait, you're telling me that drugs turned you into
super heroes? That can't make you popular with the parent groups.
Cloak: Popularity has never been a concern of Cloak and Dagger.
					_Runaways: Teenage Wasteland_

[In the Darkforce Dimension.]
Alex: Relax, Chase. There... there has to be a rational explanation for
this. That Cloak guy must have teleported us to... to Siberia or
	something.
Chase: And which part of that am I supposed to relax about?
					_Runaways: Teenage Wasteland_

Arsenic: This guy's outfit is like the mystical equivalent of a portal to
the internet, but the server crashed, so before we can perform a
search, we have to find a way to get it back online... right?
Dagger: That was the worst analogy I've ever heard...
					_Runaways: Teenage Wasteland_

"Huh. You know, it says a lot about my life that this isn't the strangest
 thing I've ever seen."
					-Dagger,
					_Runaways: Teenage Wasteland_

"Oh, she acts childlike to lower people's defenses, but Molly's behavior
masks a fierce intellect. It's a common trait in mutants her age."
					-Gene Hayes,
					_Runaways: The Good Die Young_

"The thieves. The travelers. The magicians. The outcasts. The wise men.
 And the colonists."
					_Runaways: The Good Die Young_

"No, our children made their getaway. Victor and I scoured the area to no
avail. If I weren't so furious, I'd almost be impressed."
					-Geoffrey Wilder,
					_Runaways: The Good Die Young_

Chase: I don't know, I used to want to announce for ESPN, but now I'm
thinking about helping kids like us... maybe joining the FBI or
	something.
Lucy: Wow, that's actually really cool, Chase.
Chase: Plus, it would be sweet to get to carry a gun all the time.
					_Runaways: The Good Die Young_

Chase: Okay, then. That was officially the third most awesome thing I've
	ever seen.
Bruiser: We did it! We totally won... and nobody got knocked out or set on
	fire for once!
					_Runaways: The Good Die Young_

"Rule number one of gaming: a good dungeon master always makes his players
feel like they're in control, especially when they're not."
					-Alex,
					_Runaways: The Good Die Young_

Bulldozer: You girls stand down posthaste... or I pulverize your friend
	here.
Gert: Bad idea, Mean Green. I've got the power to make grown men lose
	control of their bowels.
Bulldozer: Seriously?
[Old Lace jumps out of a tree above.]
Gert: More or less.
					_Runaways: True Believers_

Bruiser: Man, what if his dad is Voldemort?
Chase: Voldemort isn't real, genius. This psycho's probably the son of the
	devil. Or Dracula.
					_Runaways: True Believers_

"There was a good Green Goblin? That is the absolute stupidest thing I've
 ever heard!"
					-Chamber,
					_Runaways: True Believers_

Nico: You keep an eye on our prisoner.
Chase: Don't worry, this psycho killer ain't going nowhere.
Victor: What's... what's your power?
[Chase pulls out a switchblade.]
Chase: A poor upbringing.
					_Runaways: True Believers_

[Excelsior assembles.]
Turbo: Everybody, be cool. Our organization was founded to help kids like
 you.
Gert: What are you, a Christian glam band?
					_Runaways: True Believers_

Molly: These guys are heroes?
Lucy: No, Mol, they're adults.
					_Runaways: True Believers_

"We met Captain America once. He made us go into foster care after our
parents got blown up trying to destroy the world."
					-Molly, _Runaways: True Believers_

"Shine on, you crazy diamond."
					-Nico, _Runaways: True Believers_

"A super Nazi? Made of bees? Uh, yeah, I'm gonna sit this one out."
					-Chase,
					_Runaways: Escape to New York_

Victor: You guys have some kind of rallying cry? You know, "Avengers
Assemble?" "It's clobberin' time?" "Hulk smash?"
Nico: "Try not to die."
					_Runaways: Escape to New York_

"I know 'Super Skrull' sounds sort of pompous in your language, but I
swear that the Skrullos translation is way less stuck-up."
					-Xavin,
					_Runaways: Escape to New York_

Cloak: Spider-Woman? With Captain America? So the rumors are true? The
	Avengers are back?
Spider-Woman: As long as crap needs avenging.
					_Runaways: Escape to New York_

"A Wolverine appearance? How novel. Seriously, this is the third time I've
run into you this week, Logan."
					-Iron Man,
					_Runaways: Escape to New York_

Spider-Man: But really, if you want to help, they best thing you can do is
lay low while I try to clear Cloak's name.
Victor: But... but I have powers! And in that book _Webs_, your
photographer friend said your motto is "With great power, there
	must also come great responsibility!"
Gert: Really? That's inane. Most people in life don't have great power,
and the few that do are almost never responsible with it. They
people who have the greatest responsibility are the kids with no
power because we're the ones who have to keep everyone else in
	check.
Spider-Man: Wow. You are totally gonna be an Avenger when you grow up.
					_Runaways: Escape to New York_

"Please. New York, New Wave, New Avengers... 'New' is just another way of
 saying old."
					-Nico,
					_Runaways: Escape to New York_

Gert: I suppose the only time we ever really get to be happy in life -
like, one hundred percent blissful - is when we're little kids.
Victor: Because there's less to worry about?
Gert: Because we're too stupid to know how worried we should be.
					_Runaways: Parental Guidance_

"In reality, [the Pride] were good guys. They dedicated their lives to
keeping Los Angeles safe. Why do you think the crime rate went up after
 they went down?"
					_Runaways: Parental Guidance_

Nico: So you don't believe in fate or whatever?
Gert: Nah, that's just a word people use to explain away terrible things
	they probably could have prevented.
					_Runaways: Parental Guidance_

"It'd be so cool if we got to fight another animal bad guy like Rhino or
Vulture. I'd give anything to punch a Giraffe Man."
					-Molly,
					_Runaways: Parental Guidance_

"Help! I'm being kidnapped by an evil black man from the 1980's!"
					-Molly,
					_Runaways: Parental Guidance_

"Each of us has been falling apart since day one, Chase. We just have to
find a way to fall apart together."
					-Karolina,
					_Runaways: Parental Guidance_
